For those staying offsite: please be advised that you will not be able to park on-site at the hotel. Drop off will be permitted for those with special needs.
However, there is no charge for parking in the city parking lot directly adjacent to the hotel. Please be sure to factor this in when selecting where you plan to stay and allow enough time to walk from that lot to the meeting hall on the hotel grounds.
Directions for the parking lot: as you are heading west on WEST MISSION BAY DRIVE continue to Gleason Road. The Bahia Resort Hotel is at the corner of West Mission Bay Drive and Gleason Road and our sign is clearly visible.
Make a right at the light. If you are a day guest, then take an immediate right into the city parking lot directly across from the Bahia Hotel. There is no charge for parking in the city parking lot. This is a big city lot right next to the hotel.
On Tuesday mornings until 10am, there is no parking along any of the grassy areas that border Gleason Road, or the City Lot. This is due to lawn maintenance that the City of San Diego provides.
There are No Parking signs posted in this area. Be advised: they do ticket if vehicles park and/or obstruct this maintenance area but if you park each day in the designated city lot, you will not face this issue.
Scenic San Diego, by the beautiful Pacific Ocean, is a great place, year around, for enjoyment; is also an exciting spot for the 2017 Feast of Tabernacles! This year the Feast will once again be hosted at the popular Bahia Resort Hotel on the picturesque Mission Bay. We are all looking forward to worshipping God and fellowshipping together at this beautiful location!
The Bahia provides a wide variety of lodging and amenities for members. The hotel is located on the protected Mission Bay, providing for family-friendly beach access with no wave action; but the Pacific Ocean surf and beach is only a short three-block walk. The weather is usually cool and pleasant that time of year, averaging 75 degrees, but warm enough to enjoy the pool, spa and the outdoor dining and tropical gardens that make the Bahia a pleasant resort.
Mission Bay, the West Coast’s largest aquatic man-made park, covers over 4,000 acres and offers a wide range of recreational activities and water sports. Swimmers can enjoy the calm water and warm sand that Mission Bay offers. The Park includes 27 miles of coastline, 18 of which are sandy beaches available for swimming, and includes bike paths, walking trails, and playgrounds for children.
Nearby attractions include the Mission Bay Golf course and the oceanfront Belmont Park roller coaster and arcade within easy walking distance. The Bahia Resort is only a 30-minute walk from Sea World and less than a 20-minute drive to Balboa Park with museums and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. A trolley tour of the city, a boat tour of the harbor and Naval Station, and floating museum ships are activities only available in a port such as San Diego.
Great restaurants are everywhere, too numerous to list; yet the variety will suit most any taste. Some eateries are right on the ocean with the waves crashing nearby. As well, exciting, church-sponsored activities for all ages are also being planned. You will not want to miss this year’s feast in San Diego on Mission Bay!
The Bahia Resort Hotel will accommodate most housing needs with both Standard Garden View Rooms and Garden View Studio Rooms (with full kitchens), as well as upgrades available to Bay View Rooms and a selection of Suites. Come to enjoy, in this lovely place, God’s Feast, where you are sure to find strong, spiritual meat with plenty of fun and relaxation for the whole family in San Diego, California. Another great Feast of Tabernacles site for 2017!
